The Vertical Slicer cuts bales of dry tobacco into several portions to establish a uniform flow rate to a DCC(C). The uniform flow rate is achieved by a precise holding system and perfectly shaped gantry. The resulting tobacco portions have reproducible characteristics and can be delivered to the DCC(C) in appropriate intervals, allowing effective control of the process. It is proven that vertical slicing delivers better results in conditioning. This method is also recognized as the preferred technology for cigarette cut rag manufacturing. The machine is designed as fully transparent to allow visual control of the process. Due to its compact size and plug-in system design, the Vertical Slicer can easily be integrated into any existing primary production line.
